On to State!

 One of the greatest things that you can do in high school sports is go to a state event. Whether its baseball, football, basketball, track, or wrestling, it is one of the most gratifying feelings to be able to go to a state event and compete with the best people in high school. This year I personally have made it to state in football and just recently track. Football to me is a little easier to make it in. It's tough don't get me wrong, but as a team you have a better chance. Now in track its a completely different thing. Most events are single except the relays, and it's still hard even to get into state on the relays. I made it in my open event and a relay, the 4 by 1.
I went there last year, and it was one of the greatest experiences that I have ever had. Just the color of the track which is a baby blue, and the amount of people for, what some would say, such a boring event. I ran there one time before which was last year, and it was nerve racking. I wasn't even by myself in an open event either, it was a relay!

This year it is going to be way different. We only have 1 senior going, and he is in three of the events that made it. All of the events that made it are the 400 hurdles, open 100, 4 by 1, and the shuddle hurdle relay. I think it is still going to be fun this year, but the we only have 8 people going, and that's with the alternates. I hope that this is year is as fun or more fun than last year. I hope that maybe I could even place at state and be in the top 8 and go to the finals on saturday.

School is an awkward place

There are so many awkward things that happen to you when you are in school. Sometimes teachers yell at you for no reason. Sometimes people are talking about things that you probably didn't want to hear. All of these awkward things that happend during school are what makes school such an interesting place. These things are what make school easier to get through. School is one of the most boring things to sit through. Whether its listening to a teach lecture for a half hour about something that you could care less about, or whether its sitting in gym working on pointless skills when you really want to just play the game. When all these boring things are going on sometimes that awkward moment that people have makes going to school worth while and just makes your day. For instance, there was a time when I was in the library and there is a room that I thought was soundproof and that no one could here you through the outside. So, me being stupid me, I kept saying things about people as they walked by. Then a little later I said hey to someone and they looked at me. I thought to myself, can they hear me? No way. So, I said hey again and they looked at me and said hey back. So, that was one of the awkward moments because everyone that I was saying things too that I thought couldn't hear me, probably heard me. These situations are what makes school so fun.

Ten Guilty Pleasures

I have a list of guilty pleasures. I will start from 10 and then go to 1 to provide some excitement for the reader. Number 10 (drum roll) I eat ice cream. Number 9 I enjoy watching the notebook when I am alone at night and feeling lonely. Number 8 is I like to just lay down and sleep. Number 7 is daydreaming during the school. Number 6 is I like to play piano even though I don't have any practice on it. Number 5 is I enjoy practicing sports during my time off...of sports.
Now we are half way through, have you guessed my number 1 yet? Well, you'll see. Number 4 is that I enjoy tanning, naturally, in the sun. Not any of that fake baking in a tanning bed. That's just not right. I am naturally black so it's not that hard to get a tan. Number 3 is that I enjoy spending time with my amigos. They are fun to hang out with because you never know what we will find to do. Number 2 is that I enjoy girls. They are nice and don't have cooties (that's what I've been told) and they always smell nice and I am somebody who appreciates a good smell. Now, the moment you've all been waiting for. My number 1. This is out of all of my guilty pleasures. This 1 thing that you know about me above all else will change your perspective of me forever, maybe. You have no idea what this is going to be based on the previous nine. You might have thought my number 2 was going to be 1, but you were mistaken. My number 1 guiltiest pleasure is the smell of fresh cut grass on a warm summer's day. It is the greatest smell that you can ever smell in your life. It is the single greatest smell above all smells that you have ever smelled in your life. It will literally blow you back on your butt. It is the greatest smell ever.

I picked Paris because it is such a romantic city. I'm a bit of a romantic myself in fact so the romantic mood in Paris really caught my attention ever since I could remember. France also has very fine, antique, world class, art. No other country can say that they have the same art style as france. They also have beautiful women. That's always a key to going to a different country. Everything about France is Beautiful. There is also a song explaining why various ethnic groups take the journey to the City of Love.

Jeremy lin is almost one of the best point guards in the game right now. But, he is still not the best. So, why do you say does he get all this hype? One, because he came out of no where, and it is actually a great story. Two, because he is asian. When Chris Paul or even Ricky Rubio came into the league, they didn't get near as much attention as Jeremy Lin. Ricky rubio is still averaging more assists per game, and chris paul has been in numerous all star games. Neither of these players were given the hype that Jeremy Lin has been exposed too.

Jeremy Lin's story is a good one. He went to Harvard, and was drafted by the warriors. He was cut by two teams, and was almost going to be cut by the Knicks until they were devastated with injuries (both mentally and physically) to both the best players on the team, Amar'e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony. Thus Jeremy Lin was able to start. In his first game he had 25 points and 8 rebounds. The hype had begun. Who is this guy? Espn had begun saying. Interviews and media attention came almost instantly. Jeremy Lin then went on to do very good in the next 5 games. He led the Knicks to 8 straight wins. But, no one ever talks about how many turnovers he had. He has the most turnovers in the first 5 games than any other point guard. So, the hype is about the story and about the asianess.

Computers are the past, present, and future

Computers are becoming more and more important in our everyday lives. People use computers all the time to look up information like the news, schoolwork, and just to research a question that has been on your mind lately. Computers are really the ultimate source for information. The World Wide Web is one of the most misunderstood inventions of all time. People still don't know what the capability of the internet is yet. We have so many websites and we can do so many things, but we are only scratching the surface of the potential that the computers and the internet have. Computers are also becoming very usable and user friendly in schools, and schools have been using them for assignments and research projects. Businesses are also using computers more and more to keep track of records and to get new customers and to stay in touch with customers. So you need to have computers for all these things. You need them for school and for general information that you want to know. Computers and the internet are going to be the building blocks for our generation and our future generation. They are beginning to be one of the most important pieces of technology, and they will only get more and more important.

Solving the worlds problems one app at a time

If I could create a new app I would create an app called the back face app. It would cost $137.65, and if you had a camera on your ipod or iphone you could take a picture of the back of someones head, and it would show you the front of their face. I think that this would be such a good app because police could use it if a robber was running away. If they had a an iphone or ipod with a camera they could quick take a picture and they would have the perp caught

This could also be a good app if you are a girl or guy that is looking for another girl or guy. You don't want to be taken off guard when you see the back of someones head that looks "inviting" and they turn around and you want to throw up. This would save you from the horrific image that you are you going to see, and probably talk to if the back of the head looks inviting. It would show you the horrible train wreck that you would have almost talked to. This is a good app and it could be used for everyday situations. This is an app for 16 year olds and up.

2nd semester

My second semester is going to good, and a lot easier than my first. I have a lot of great classes with a lot of my friends, so I think I'm going to have a lot more fun than the first semester.
